Olesia Demianchuk – Leading Lawyer of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice, as well as the War Damages Recovery Practice.

Olesia specializes in assessing procedural opportunities in disputes, drafting procedural documents in commercial and administrative cases, as well as preparing advisory opinions on the effective representation of enterprises’ interests in commercial arbitrations.

Before joining ARMADA, Olesia worked as a notary assistant and as a judge’s assistant at the court of first instance in Kyiv, where she gained experience in quickly analyzing received data, evaluating the effectiveness of legal protection strategies, and representing clients in court proceedings in various categories of cases.

Olesia studied law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and holds a Master’s degree in Law.

Olesia's Recent Experience Includes:

  • For a client operating a retail chain, the groundlessness of government authorities’ interference in business activities was duly assessed. During the process, violations in conducting an unscheduled inspection were identified, as well as the unlawfulness of the decision to impose liability on the client based on such inspection. Olesia and the team formed a procedural position that helped to overturn the unlawful decision of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, setting a precedent for successful judicial challenge of abuse of power by a state body.
  • Legal support for the defense of a client who is a leading developer of residential and commercial buildings in the region. As a result of comprehensive actions by Olesia and thorough analysis of consumer protection legislation, and the identification of the plaintiff’s improper choice of legal remedy, the accrual and recovery of penalties totaling UAH 29,964,031.64 due to delays in contract execution was prevented.
  • Support of a court case for the recovery of credit debt of an agribusiness enterprise, with the claim amounting to UAH 5,583,791.81. Due to in-depth work, reassessment of evidence provided by opponents, focusing the court’s attention on the bank’s violations of procedural law, as well as successful negotiations with the creditor, a settlement agreement was reached between the client and the bank that met the client’s interests.
