Case No.1

A buyer from Turkey failed to pay for delivered goods. The international arbitration lawyers at ARMADA promptly filed a claim with the ICAC at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, halted the accrual of penalties under currency supervision, and won the dispute.

Case No.2

The client ordered equipment, but due to the occupation of the Kherson region, where the production facilities were located, the delivery objective was no longer feasible. Nevertheless, the supplier demanded contract fulfillment and payment for the equipment ($900,000 USD). ARMADA’s international arbitration lawyers successfully terminated the contract and avoided damages using the doctrine of frustration of purpose.

Case No.3

The client, acting as a freight forwarder, ordered the transportation of goods via a maritime line. Due to the shipper being added to the sanctions list, Maersk did not complete the transportation and returned the goods to the port of departure. Due to delays in arranging road transport, the line imposed over $500,000 USD in demurrage. ARMADA’s international arbitration lawyers managed to prove the client’s lack of fault in the delay.
