Recent Experience Includes:
- Advised on a corporate rights acquisition deal exceeding 1,000,000 USD.
- Prepared lawsuits in damage recovery cases exceeding 20,000,000 UAH.
- Prepared lawsuits in debt recovery cases exceeding 60,000,000 UAH.
- Valentyn was involved in Ukraine’s largest copyright litigation as part of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice team. The case concerned the recognition of copyright for one of the world’s largest commercial portfolios – approximately 1,500,000 commercial photographs (an asset valued at over 10,000,000 USD). The project comprises eight court proceedings in Ukraine, one in the USA, and out-of-court copyright protection procedures under US law. Its uniqueness and complexity lie in the volume of individual copyright objects and cross-border rights protection.
- Also played a key role in the team that handled a dispute between a Ukrainian agricultural company and a major German agricultural equipment manufacturer. Valentyn ensured legal support, prepared the claim and procedural documents, and conducted export data research, compiling analytics on the supplier’s fulfillment of similar contracts, which was decisive in resolving the dispute valued over 1,300,000 EUR.
- Additionally, Valentyn has deep expertise in handling disputes against the Russian Federation related to war damages. He is a lead lawyer in the team managing multimillion-dollar claims in Ukraine and abroad on behalf of major Ukrainian companies such as MHP, METRO Cash & Carry Ukraine, lifecell, among others.
